You may contact our Pharmacy Help Desk at 800-378-7040 or dial the Customer Service number located on the back of your
member ID card.
Utilization Management staff are available to answer utilization management questions by phone Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST by calling the preauthorization lines above or by calling the Customer Service number on the back of the Member ID card.
Utilization Management may also be reached by fax 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the above preauthorization fax lines.
Communication of Utilization Management
Utilization Management staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST via our toll free number at 800-292-4470 to assist you with questions you may have about the Utilization Management process. Members can access the Utilization Management Department via the Customer Service number located on the back of your member ID card. The call may be directly transferred from the customer service representative into the Utilization Management department where a staff member will identify themselves by name and title.
After normal business hours, callers will hear a recorded message with instructions on how they can reach a Health Services Utilization Management staff member or will have the option to leave a message which will be responded to the next day. Our UM staff will identify themselves by name, title and organization name when initiating or returning calls regarding UM issues.
Coventry offers TDD/TTY services for deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired members.
For Tennessee members who are hearing impaired mayl use their TDD/TTY to call 711 or 800-735-2962.
Language assistance via the language line is also available for members if there is a need to discuss UM issues. Our Customer Service Department will contact the Language Line for interpreter services when necessary.
